The Tennessee Historical Society aims to present quality programs fulfilling the designated purpose of the organization "to promote interest in and preservation of all matters relating to the history of Tennessee." We welcome any suggestions members have to offer regarding program interests at Membership.

Topic: What's Going On in Tennessee History?

Join us at the Annual THS Membership Meeting and meet new Tennessee Historical Quarterly editor Kristofer Ray. Dr. Ray will share his views on what is currently taking place in Tennessee history research and writing -- what is being done well and what is missing. Dr. Ray is assistant professor of history at Austin Peay State University; see http://www.apsu.edu/rayk/ for more. A brief business meeting will occur before the annual address, including election of the 2010-2012 officers and board of directors.
