Ed Speer is a frequent contributor of "Tennessee Notes" relating to East Tennessee History. He is currently conducting research for the new exhibit on the Civil War at the Tipton-Haynes Historic Site in Johnson City, a project supported with a grant from the Tennessee Civil War National Heritage Area.
